Who is Charlie Campbell?
Charlie Campbell is a brand, founded by Charles Dickson in 2017, with a vision for creating beautiful, lasting pieces for the home. After graduating a degree in interior architecture, Charles craved more of a hands-on approach to design that the typical graduate career-path offered. He set up a workshop in his parent’s shed in his hometown of Adelong NSW and got to work.
Now based in the NSW Southern Highlands, each of our pieces is hand-made and made-to-order. We offer our own range of pieces and also work collaboratively with clients to bring their visions to life.
Our vision is best explained through the sentiment ‘mark it.’
mark it.
With every mark, there is a moment, a memory.
Our homes should tell our stories. They should provide subtle hints to the moments of our past. Of who we are, and where we’ve been. Of those we’ve loved, and those we’ve lost. Of the ups, the downs, and all the in-betweens. The marks we leave help define who we are.
We shouldn’t be afraid to leave marks. Rather, we should leave our marks wherever they choose to fall. We should invest in items sturdy enough to bear the brunt of our everyday lives, to absorb and wear these marks for the memories they are; the more marks the better.
This is what we strive to create at Charlie Campbell, a hardy, unique and understated product that becomes more and more valuable to you the more and more you mark it.
We use traditional methods combined with modern technology and quality materials to produce a product that will not only survive years of living with you, but will continue to evolve as it does so.
Our everyday lives are increasingly filled with insignificant, uninspiring, short-lived objects that we have no connection to. We want to encourage you to invest in items that can mean something to you. Items that can live with you, age with you, and live on to tell your stories. Our homes are where so many of our memories are made and we believe they should reflect this. If you believe what we believe, why not endeavour to create a home that says something about you, and let it evolve, as you continue to mark it.
